Maria Veronica R. Abello-Poblete, MD, FAAD
Dr. Abello-Poblete is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin conditions, grounded in comprehensive medical and dermatologic training. She completed her Dermatology Residency at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. She currently serves as an active consultant in the Department of Dermatology at Princeton Health–Penn Medicine.
Dr. Poblete also completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Rockefeller University in New York City, contributing to multiple peer-reviewed publications focused on psoriasis. In addition, she completed a Family Medicine residency at UMDNJ–Capital Health System, providing her with a broad and integrative medical foundation.
Deeply committed to education, Dr. Poblete is actively involved in teaching family medicine and dermatology residents, has delivered CME lectures and workshops at professional conferences, and provides ongoing clinical training within her practice. Alongside her academic and clinical roles, she offers a comprehensive range of medical and cosmetic dermatology services, blending therapeutic expertise with aesthetic precision to deliver personalized, high-quality care for her patients.
Emily K. Smith, PA-C
Emily Smith Hornak is one of our excellent PA who holds a steadfast, devoted following, thanks to her empathetic demeanor, exceptional skill, and remarkable bedside manner.
As one of our esteemed certified Physician Assistants, Emily embarked on her professional journey with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Loyola University Maryland. Her pursuit of excellence continued with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Keiser University. Initially honing her skills in Urgent Care, Emily gained invaluable experience diagnosing and treating various dermatological conditions across diverse age groups.
Bringing her wealth of expertise to our practice, Emily underwent additional training in specialized procedures including laser hair removal, KTP, and microneedling/PRP. Certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants, Emily ensures the highest standard of care and proficiency in her practice, earning the trust and admiration of her patients.
Jacqueline Simonetti, PA-C
Jacqueline is a compassionate and highly skilled Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. She graduated magna cum laude from King’s College and has a broad range of experience in medical and procedural dermatology. Patients appreciate her kind, gentle nature, thorough explanations, and the time she takes to truly understand their concerns. Passionate about dermatology, Jacqueline regularly attends conferences and continuing education courses to stay current with the latest advances, providing thoughtful, personalized care patients trust and value.
Yesenia Pena, MA-C
Jessy completed her training as a Medical Assistant in Fortis Institute with strong recommendations from her mentors due to her consistent professionalism, competence and compassion during her time of training. She has proven to be an invaluable member to our practice, not only because of her competence but also because of her ability to speak fluent English and Spanish which helps a lot of our patients express themselves better.
Dawn Kania
Dawn is the calm, steady, and hardworking presence who has been with us for years, and we cannot express how much we appreciate her. As the first line of our office, the front desk can be challenging, but Dawn handles it with remarkable maturity, competence, and grace. No matter what comes her way, she remains calm, reliable, and always ready to help, keeping the office running smoothly. Her quick learning, helpful nature, and cheerful demeanor make her an invaluable part of our team, and she contributes greatly to creating a fun, healthy, and peaceful environment for both staff and patients. Dawn also has a big heart for animals and loves every type of animal, adding even more warmth to her presence. On her breaks, you’ll often find her soaking up the sun, recharging her energy for the busy day ahead. We are truly lucky to have Dawn on our team!
John Rodriguez
Meet John, our multi-talented and dedicated Medical Assistant with big dreams and an even bigger work ethic. While pursuing his master’s degree and preparing for a future in medicine, John remains an integral part of our team, supporting patient care, administrative responsibilities, and bringing positivity to the workplace with his great sense of humor. He also plays an important role in training and mentoring new medical assistants, generously sharing his knowledge and experience.

Claudia K. Van Saders, RN
Claudia is our office manager and Registered Nurse who has extensive experience and knowledge in caring for dermatology patients. She has worked in the field of dermatology for more than 20 years, working as a research nurse, where she was part of multiple publications in psoriasis and later on appointed as Manager of Clinical Operations in the department of Dermatology in Rutgers, New Brunswick. She enjoys interacting with patients and takes pride in being able to assist them whether in getting their phototherapy treatment, injections, non invasive body contouring, microdermabrasion or getting registered for iPledge. We are very fortunate to have her in our team.
Stephanie Marano, APRN, FNP-BC
Stephanie is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology. She graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University and cum laude from Temple University. Stephanie is highly independent and experienced in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of dermatologic conditions and procedures. Patients love her for being compassionate, direct, competent, and genuinely caring. She combines strong clinical judgment with a patient-centered approach and continually advances her expertise by attending dermatology courses and seminars led by top industry leaders to provide the highest level of care.
Jenna Diaz, MA
Jenna completed her Medical Assistant training at Harris School of Business and has worked across multiple medical specialties, contributing to her strong foundation in patient care. She is highly focused, adaptable, and enjoys taking on new challenges. In addition to assisting our dermatologist and physician assistants with procedures and managing extensive medical documentation, Jenna is cross-trained in appointment scheduling and office operations.
Having been with our practice for many years, Jenna has proven to be an integral part of our team. She consistently multitasks without compromising efficiency or accuracy, and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of patients throughout the office. Her versatility, ambition, and reliability make her an invaluable member of our practice.

With years of experience in medical billing and customer service, she is a valuable resource for patients seeking assistance with administrative, billing, and insurance inquiries.
